This position is responsible for increasing revenue by meeting and/or exceeding Sales objectives within assigned territory. Utilizes a balanced “Business Partner” approach to deliver value to the customer. Provide product knowledge, offer solutions and develop relationships through regular Agency visits. Follows sound underwriting principles reflective of our carrier partners’ guidelines and policies to increase UAI book of business, including TPA referrals through Unisource’s brokerage network.
- Meets established sales goals of profitable small & middle market Workers’ Compensation business.
- Makes agency visits highlighting our value and that of our carrier partners to agents and prospective insured’s.
- Reviews submission information and binds coverage and/or processes endorsements with support team.
- Prepares weekly & monthly production reports as required for management review.
The ideal candidate possesses the following skills/knowledge/abilities:
- Solid knowledge of business strategies, value-added services, markets & insurance products. These are usually obtained through a combination of formal education (BS/BA) in Risk Management, Business Administration (or related degree) and/or 3-5 years P&C and/or W/C experience in the state of Florida.
- Insurance certificate(s) or 2-20 license; commitment to obtain appropriate continuing education courses to maintain 2-20 license.
- High-level sales ability, interpersonal & negotiation skills to continually promote UAI products/services & generate revenue.
- Ability to advise clients & independently accept, modify or reject risks.
- A results-oriented self-starter, with the ability to work independently and produce a profitable book of business.
- Ability to present poised/polished presentations (one-one and small group) including execs from carrier partners.
- Skilled use of Microsoft Office products
