Underwriting Analyst
To partner with Market Underwriters and the Underwriting team to write new Workers’ Compensation business, following sound underwriting principles reflective of our carrier partners’ guidelines and policies. To provide internal support and backroom activities to field personnel.
The ideal candidate shall possess the following skills/knowledge/abilities:
- Continually reviews, approves and performs the acceptance, declination and pricing of all transactions for workers’ compensation submissions.
- Regularly evaluates and recommends coverage and endorsements that will properly protect the policyholder, consistent with underwriting guidelines at a price reflective of the exposure.
- Binding coverage and/or processing endorsements within designated underwriting authority.
- Reviewing submission information with underwriter and preparing quote letter.
- Partner with Marketing Underwriters to coordinate Rollovers.
- Responsible for Loss Control Surveys
- Conduct telephonic surveys (60 days or less)
- Ensures the accuracy of system to include: updated submission status, quoted premium and payment plan.
- Ensures that all files/forms are filed accurately and timely.
- Responsible for Market Underwriting team goals.
- Bilingual required
